Adonis Garcia led the Thunder offense with two of the team’s four home runs as they defeated the New Britain Rock Cats 7-4 on Tuesday night. David Adams and Addison Maruszak each had a home run as well. Garcia, Adams, Kevin Mahoney, and Jose Gil all had multiple hits on the evening. Rob Segedin, who has struggled at the plate since his early-July promotion, hit an RBI double in the second inning and then scored on the first of Garcia’s two home runs. On the mound, Vidal Nuno earned his ninth win after shutting down New Britain for most of the evening. Nuno allowed just one run on six hits in six innings. Graham Stoneburner would run into a little bit of trouble in the eighth inning, but would be bailed out by Pedro Feliciano and Ryan Pope, who recorded his seventh save of the season.

High-A: Tampa Yankees
Tampa played two, losing both games, on Tuesday night. Shane Greene pitched for the Yankees in Game 1, but allowed four runs on six hits in five innings of work en route to his sixth loss of the season. Even worse for Tampa, they were able to scrap together just one run on four hits – two of which came off the bat of Tyler Austin. In Game 2, Matt Tracy pitched well, but the lack of offense would put an end to Tampa’s hopes. Kyle Roller would have two of the team’s four hits, but they couldn’t score and would lose 1-0. For Tracy, it was his seventh loss of the season despite allowing just one run on five hits over five innings.

Low-A: Charleston RiverDogs
Charleston’s game against the West Virginia Power was rained out on Tuesday night.
