AAA: Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees
Corban Joseph came up big for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday, breaking a 3-3 tie in the 9th inning with his sixth home run of the season. Joseph, Chris Dickerson, and Ramiro Pena were the only Yankees to record multiple hits on the day. Additionally, Joseph drove in two of the team’s four runs, with the other two coming thanks to Matt Antonelli and Kevin Russo. Adam Warren turned in a solid performance on the mound, pitching six shutout innings while allowing just three hits. Warren struck out five on the day, but did not factor into the decision. Instead, Ryota Igarashi recorded the last five outs for the Yankees to earn his second win of the season.

AA: Trenton Thunder
Trenton produced 13 runs in their victory over Reading on Sunday, and that wasn’t even the most in the organization! The Thunder were powered by home runs from Zoilo Almonte early on, Melky Mesa and Luke Murton in the 9th as part of a five-run rally, and finally, Jose Pirela in the 12th inning, a walk-off winner for Trenton. Pirela led the offense in hits, with three on the day. Almonte, David Adams, and Addison Maruszak all had multiple hits on the day. On the mound, things were quite a bit uglier. Dellin Betances got lit up, allowing seven runs on ten hits and three walks in just three innings of work. Ultimately, Mark Montgomery got the victory after pitching a scoreless 11th and 12th innings. The win was his first with Double-A Trenton.

High-A: Tampa Yankees
Tampa’s game against Bradenton was postponed. No make-up date has been announced as of yet.

Class A: Charleston RiverDogs
Charleston came back from an 11-5 deficit to defeat Kannapolis by a score of 14-13 on Sunday. Everyone in the Charleston lineup except DH Reymond Nunez had at least one hit, though the offense was powered by catcher Francisco Arcia, who had three doubles and a pair of RBI in four at-bats. Casey Stevenson had a big game as well, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, three runs scored, and a pair of walks. On the mound, it was a disastrous day for starting pitcher Matt Bashore. The left-hander was torched for ten runs on seven hits and three walks in just 2 1/3 innings. Fred Lewis, pitching in relief of Bashore and Daniel Mahoney, would earn his fifth victory of the season. 2012 6th round pick Nick Goody earned his third save for Charleston as he tossed a scoreless 9th inning.
