MLB best bets, strikeout props for Tuesday 9/12: We sure like Lance a lot

That's a 1-2 mark to begin the week in strikeout props, but we did the same last Monday and still finished the week with a profit. Let's bounce back with my three favorite K props for Tuesday's MLB slate.

Max Fried over 5.5 Ks (-106 FanDuel)

The Philadelphia Phillies are an auto-fade against left-handed pitching. No other team in MLB has more strikeouts against lefties this season than the Phillies (417). Atlanta Braves starter Max Fried averaged 6.25 strikeouts per game in four starts against Philadelphia last year, and he's gone over 5.5 Ks three times in his last four starts. We'll ride the strong recent form and the past success against this lineup.

Brandon Williamson over 4.5 Ks (-104 FD)

What a month of August it was for Brandon Williamson. The Cincinnati Reds starter struck out at least five batters in all six of his starts, and he lowered his ERA from 4.85 to 4.20 throughout the month. Now he gets to face a Detroit Tigers team that's recorded the second-highest strikeout rate in MLB over the last month (30.36 percent). The only worry here is Williamson not handling a full workload considering he just came off the COVID-19-related injured list, but his recent form has been too good to ignore.

Lance Lynn under 5.5 Ks (-130 FD)

Lance Lynn has been struggling mightily in the strikeout department, and sportsbooks have been slow to adjust. The Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander has managed only six strikeouts over his last 22 innings pitched, yet his K prop hasn't dipped below 5.5. Oh, and he's surrendered 18 earned runs over his last three starts. Meanwhile, the San Diego Padres have recorded the second-lowest strikeout rate in MLB over the last 15 days (16.4 percent). What am I missing here? Take the under and run.

Can you name the last player from every MLB franchise to win an MVP Award?

Note: The Mets, Rays and Diamondbacks have never had a player win an MVP Award.
