Kevin Correia was scratched from his start last night due to soreness in his side. He seems to be ok and will start Monday. Brad Lincoln, who would have started the game had Correia been unavailable, will stay in the bullpen for the time being.

Colorado Rockies pitcher Jamie Moyer made headlines last week when, at 49 years old, he became the oldest pitcher to win a major league game. Also of note in his start against the San Diego Padres was that Moyer's fastball topped out at 78 mph.

Tonight, the Pirates face Jamie Moyer, who is 49 years old and can't throw 80 mph. That means he's old enough to be many of the Pirates' dad and they all probably threw harder than he does now when they were 15. That said, Moyer's the type of pitcher that you need patience against and the Pirates are almost completely without any sort of patience whatsoever this year...

The game was called six hours before the scheduled 7:05 p.m. first pitch due to a steady rain scheduled to fall throughout the area until Tuesday morning.
The game will be made up on Wednesday as part of a doubleheader beginning at 12:35 p.m.
