Found April 22, 2013 on Waiting For Next Year:
The Cleveland Indians have activated right-handed pitcher Matt Albers from the Restricted List. Albers, 30, is 1-0 in four appearances this season. In five innings pitched, he has allowed three earned runs, striking out four batters while walking three. He was placed on the Restricted List after his time on the Paternity/Medical Emergency List drew to a close. He will rejoin the Indians bullpen which combined for four innings of scoreless baseball on Sunday 1 . To make room for Albers on the 25-man roster, the team has opted to designate right-handed pitcher Fernando Nieve for assignment. Nieve was recently called up when the team placed starting pitcher Brett Myers on the 15-day Disabled List. Tyler Naquin (Carolina, CF) - 3-5, 2 R, 2 2B, 2 RBI - Naquin's been strong all season, but tonight he took it to another level as he picked up his second and third doubles of the season as well as his 9th and 10th RBI. Naquin is now batting .303.  While his OBP (.370) and tendency to strike out rather than walk (19 Ks to only 5 BBs) are a little worrisome, it is good to remember...

Indians 3, White Sox 2: Where there’s a Bro, there’s a Way

8:01 PM – I just learned that today is Terry Francona’s birthday. Hours before, I heard that it’s also Jack Nicholson’s birthday. What a small world!  I can only imagine the fun those two might have at a birthday party together, what with all of the chewing tobacco and nubile feminine attention.  Sounds like a good time.  You know what else sounds like a good time?  Live...
