MLB team photo days are an annual — and often hilarious — rite of spring. Most of the photos taken of MLB players are of the garden-variety class, nothing too crazy, nothing too off-kilter. But for every 100 normal photos, there usually is at least one flat-out hilarious photograph. And as far as the photo of Toronto Blue Jays center fielder Colby Rasmus, the curdled cream most certainly rose to the top. Seriously, take a look at that photo. Granted, not everyone is photogenic, but Colby Rasmus looks terrible. Pale, slightly sunken eyes, it is truly an awful photo. It’s a but of a stretch I’ll admit, but if some scabs and face lesions and Rasmus would look just like an “After” photo in one of those disturbing “Faces of Meth’ ads. To make matters worse, Joe Sports Fan took the analysis of the awfulness of Rasmus’ team photo to another level: They ran it through a”facial beauty analysis” program: Ouch. A lowly 1.02 out of 10. That’s a shame. I guess it could be argued that, considering the nature of his photo, Colby Rasmus would fit right in as a strung-out roadie in Jayson Werth’s ZZ Top tribute band.
