Get used to hearing more about Mike Stanton.

At the rate the Marlins rookie right fielder is going, expect to see more news about him reaching levels rarely seen before.

The 6-foot-5 1/2, 240-pounder on Friday had his first multi-home run game when he went deep twice at Cincinnati.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Stanton is the first Major League player under the age of 21 to homer twice in a game since Miguel Cabrera on April 13, 2004 at Montreal.

Elias also provided this bit of information. At 20 years, 278 days (as of Friday), Stanton is the youngest player to have a two homer game since Jose Reyes (20 years, 78 days) on Aug. 28, 2003 at Atlanta.

Remarkably, Stanton is climbing fast among the MLB rookie home run leaders. It's only surprising because his competition has played in far more games. But now with 14, he has passed Gaby Sanchez and Jason Heyward, who both have 12.
