From Busted Coverage:

It appears that former MLB player Barry Bonds has gone even deeper into the cycling game. According to reports on Twitter, Bonds is now rolling in a custom made, one-of-a-kind McLaren Venge bike. Pro cyclist Levi Leipheimer recently tweeted out an image and message of Bonds glowing with his new ride (seen above).

Specialized sells the S-Works bike for $18,000, making it one of the world’s most expensive commercially produced bicycles.

We’ve been watching Barry Bonds like a hawk. Ever since the guy discovered his newfound love of cycling, we just can’t keep our eyes off of his new, skinny self. Aside from looking like a total creep skinny, we are fascinated by how obsessed he became with cycling.

Spending time in Colorado cycling and hiking is one thing, but now he is a full on cycling nerd. Black, orange and stamped with Bonds patented No. 25, Barry has officially gone off the deep end with this one.

More from Busted Coverage:
  • That's good for Barry, at least he's staying in shape! I always have been a fan of Bonds, since his days at ASU.
  • i have watched barrys whole career. i even have a baseball card with barry when he played for ASU. i used to go to giants games and watch willie mays, bobby bonds mccovey, marichal, etc. go barry
  • Excellent.Another athlete who spends all day long on these things.I wonder if his finances will run out like some other stars we have seen.I hope he's an investor and takes care of his future
  • Awesome ride. Like it much better than the Pinnarello he had before. Unbelievably light. That thing is probably 13-14 pounds.
  • I don't care at all for Bonds, he's a cheater, but I am also having problems with the tool that wrote the article above. Who cares if Bonds has become obsessed with cycling? Is that hurting anyone? It's a great sport (I cycle myself and have met lots of great people doing so), it's a great form of excercise.

He's in shape, he's happy, it looks like he's off of steroids - good for him!

    So what's the big problem?
  • LOL!!! Since Barry found out Lance did 'roids he figures he fits right in.
  • I'm beginning to wonder about Barry...there's no seat on that bike. Sitting on that post...well...maybe in San Francisco it would be okay...
  • Your obsession with Bonds is troubling. I'm happy he can afford a nice bike, but aren't there actual sports news stories you could writing about?
  • Give me a older steel Bianchi or Pinarello over this
    nonsense bicycle.

Sumlin: I'm not interested in kicking players off team

Texas and Texas A&M are in different conferences and apparently the school’s football coaches operate differently when it comes to player discipline, too.  Charlie Strong kicks players off his team, Kevin Sumlin likes to keep them around and turn them into men. That seems to be the opinion of the Aggies’ coach, anyway.  Sumlin said it’s easy to kick a guy off the team...

The Knicks made an offer for Kevin Love The New York Knicks at least tried to get involved in the Kevin Love sweepstakes. Report: Multiple teams talking with Dogers about Matt Kemp

The Los Angeles Dodgers are in the midst of a pennant chase and that is obviously the franchise’s top priority. Report: Colts RB Vick Ballard suffers torn Achilles' tendon

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that Colts RB Vick Ballard suffered a torn Achilles tendon during Friday’s practice. Mike Garafolo confirms the news and mentions that this is just an “initial diagnosis” with an MRI to come. He had to be carted off the field, so it appeared as though the injury was fairly serious.
