PLAYERS: CJ Wilson
TEAMS: Los Angeles Angels

Via Larry Brown Sports:

Los Angeles Angels pitcher CJ Wilson is off to a solid start to the 2013 season, and we aren’t just talking about his performance. In addition to being 3-1 with a 3.86 ERA, Wilson has also decided to take the next step with his incredibly hot girlfriend, Lisalla Montenegro.

Our man Jimmy Traina at SI Hot Clicks, who broke the story that Wilson and Montenegro were dating last July, called our attention to a tweet that Montenegro sent out on Wednesday showing off her new engagement ring.

That thing looks like it probably cost a pretty penny, as it should with Wilson having signed a five-year, $77.5 million contract with the Angels last year and all. Montenegro may not be the most famous WAG on our extensive list, but Wilson has certainly done well for himself. Here’s hoping they enjoy a long and healthy marriage.

Angels Classic Rewind | Dateline: May 8th, 2002

By Joe Haakenson, AngelsWin.com Contributor -  MAY 8, 2002 GAME 32 - TIGERS AT ANGELS ANAHEIM -- Troy Glaus could have kicked himself after fouling off a 3-2 pitch that was out of the strikezone. But the Angels' third baseman would atone for his mistake. On the very next pitch, Glaus hit a game-winning homer leading off the ninth inning that gave the Angels a 3-2 win...

Despite injuries, poor start, Angels not looking to make any trades

It would be easy to push the panic button in Los Angeles.  This is true whether you are a Dodgers or Angels fan.  Both teams are struggling in the early going of the 2013 season, but the Angels are probably the more disappointing of the two.  They have suffered injuries to key players like Jered Weaver, Ryan Madson, Albert Pujols, and others, yet there are no plans for the...

Angels closer vents on Twitter

Many an Angel fan is pretty pissed off that the Angels just keep finding new ways to lose. It turns out the players aren't too pleased with it either and one of them, closer Ernesto Frieri, let his frustrations bubble over into this tweet: This is not fun anymore! — ernesto frieri (@ernasty49) May 8, 2013 Ernie. It is a pretty tame tweet, all things considered...

Angels overcome umpire buffoonery, defeat Astros 6-5

The story of this game should be how the Angels are barely clinging to life after sneaking out of Houston with a late-inning rally to avoid a sweep. But you and I know we can't focus on that, not after the shenanigans Bo Porter and the umpires pulled. If you missed it, enjoy watching a MLB manager and umpiring crew take a dump over the very basic rule than any pitcher entering...

Jerry Dipoto's rebuild/reload plan

Like any Angel fan, I've continued to monitor their free agency decisions and subsequent performances for the past two seasons since Jerry Dipoto was hired.  I'm beginning to recognize a pattern that likely reflects the approach Dipoto has taken toward putting his own personal touch on the Angels system.  To the untrained eye, it appears as though the Angels have a bloated...

With all that has been going on in the NFL the last week, the Panthers had little option but to sideline their star pass rusher Greg Hardy. Floyd Mayweather beats Marcos Maidana, remains undefeated

Floyd Mayweather did one of the things Saturday night that makes him the best in the world, which is to figure out what his opponent does well and neutralize it. It was enough to win by wider margins this time against his fiercest recent foe, Marcos Maidana, than last time. It was a far less interesting bout, of course, because Mayweather wins more easily when he avoids contact —...
