Via The Outside Corner:

The Kiss Cam: one of the staples of mid-game entertainment at ballparks across the country. Last Friday during the Colorado Springs Sky Sox-Fresno Grizzlies game in Fresno, the Grizzlies broke out the Kiss Cam during the game.

The first couple they showed didn't kiss despite the girl prodding her companion to alert him that they were on the jumbotron. He was on the phone (at a ballgame? Really?) and blew her off as the crowd reacted negatively. After cycling through a few more couples, the Kiss Cam returned to the first pair. The woman was rebuffed a second time to a much larger negative reaction from the crowd. Finally at the end of the segment, the camera returned to the couple, and the gentleman (and I use that term loosely) once again shot down his lady.

Finally, the girl just couldn't take it anymore. She stood up, dumped her drink all over the guy, and walked out. Perhaps the best part was the quizzical, confused look on his face as the girl walked up the aisle away from him as he sat there, covered in what looks like beer. The girl then gets a high five from the Grizzlies mascot on the concourse, and the man walks up the aisle with his tail tucked between his legs.

Moral of the story: if you're on Kiss Cam, just indulge your companion and give them a peck. Otherwise, you might end up covered in a beverage. Even if this was staged (which the circumstances make seem very plausible), it's still pretty hilarious.

10 Comments:
  • I'm so glad she dumped that drink on him. What a freakin' tool this guy is.
  • That was soooooooo staged!
  • So your saying they were also able to insure that the camera found them in the crowd. Not likely.
  • don't blame him..I wouldn't kiss her either...eeks
  • Fake as heck. Giant "soda" turns out to be water rather than a dark liquid or even a clear pop like Sprite. Huge cup doesn't have a lid on it. Dude moves his phone away before she throws the drink. Plus the look on the guy's face after. Fake, fake, fake.
  • Looked like an act to me, but hey, still funny.
  • I wouldn't have kissed THAT either. way to go buddy
    let her walk home also.
  • Definitely looked like a set-up to me...

Michigan QB talks about racist messages he receives

Devin Gardner has had to deal with more than pretty much every other college quarterback in the country this season.  The Michigan QB has been the focus of a ton of criticism centered on the Wolverines, with Brady Hoke’s team struggling at 3-4, 1-2 in the Big Ten.  In an interview with Angelique S. Chengelis of The Detroit News, Gardner spoke of the troubles he’s had to attempt...

Giants dethrone Royals in Game 1 of World Series

Big Game James was far from that in the Royals first World Series game in 29 years. From the first inning when the Giants battered the changeless Shields for three runs there was no escaping for Shields. It started in the very first at bat with former Royal Gregor Blanco singling on a change up that Shields left up. Following a productive Joe Panik at bat Pablo Sandoval put the Giants...

Anyone who’s eaten out know that restaurant workers are doing it for the tips.  Hoping for that 18%, maybe 20% if they really make you feel like a friend.  Or even a World Series ticket?  Kansas City Royals reliever Wade Davis’ wife had an extra ticket to World Series Game 1 and thought her server at a local “Rock and Brews” might want to join them.  KMBC, the ABC affiliate...

Lance Briggs left Bears' locker room to avoid the fighting

Linebacker, Lance Briggs wanted nothing to do with Brandon Marshall’s outburst Sunday afternoon following the Bears loss to the Dolphins. Briggs did not stick around for it and walked away from it all. Lance had this to say on his weekly Comcast Sports Net Show. I just left because I could see where things were kinda going. And I knew that when you get emotional there are moments...
