There's a first for everything, right? I've seen a lot of baseball over the years, but never have I seen a paper airplane fly into the mix.
That's precisely what happened during the sixth inning of the New York Mets-Milwaukee Brewers game Saturday night, as a a giant-sized paper airplane found its way onto the field near second base. The commentary regarding the landing couldn't have been any better.
"What a landing," raved the play-by-play guy.
"That was kind of cool to watch," added the color commentator.
Not only were these two entertained by the mini airshow, but the players and fans seemed to have enjoyed the shenanigans as well. In fact, the loudest ovation all evening long likely came when the plane stuck its landing point.
So, if you're planning on making a trip to Miller Park anytime soon, be sure to keep your head on a swivel. You may just get blindsided by a flying object if you don't.
