The Miami Marlins will be born Friday night, and judging from photos on the Internet, the new team will leave a mark, visually at least. The Florida Marlins will exist only in memory as of Friday night, when the team officially changes its name to the Miami Marlins in advance of moving into its new stadium in Little Havana for the 2012 season. At 9:00 p.m., the Marlins will unveil a new uniform set at a private event that will be webcast on Marlins.com. The latest leak came from a photo on Twitter showing Marlins Emilio Bonifacio and Omar Infante in the new uniforms. Unless it is the work of a Photoshop artist, it looks like the Miami Marlins will don a very colorful uniform set that might not sit well with fans of the subdued teal, silver, and black set the team had been using.
