The New York Yankees have avoided arbitration with Phil Hughes, Joba Chamberlain (first timers) and Boone Logan (2nd year of arb eligibility).  The Yankees agreed to one year deals with each and will not have to go to an arbitration hearing.  Hughes will pull in $2.7 million, Chamberlain will pull in $1.4 and Logan will pull in $1.2 million. The Yankees have taken care of each of their arbitration eligible players.  Sergio Mitre was the fourth and final arb-eligible player and he signed his deal back on the first of December.
