The New York Yankees are once again playing with fire, as for the fourth time in a week they are tied atop the AL East with the Baltimore Orioles. Chris Dickerson (Photo credit: Wikipedia) Losing in walk-off fashion, 3-4, to the Red Sox is about the most feasibly cruel way this game could have ended. Skipper Joe Girardi looks like fire might come out of his ears but you can’t really blame him. Inevitably Girardi’s job security will be in jeopardy if the Yankees are not playing baseball in October, on top of having to endure such a draining second-half. Why doesn’t Joe Girardi inject some of the youngsters brought up when the rosters expanded? Does Girardi know I am referring to the group of guys in Yankee uniform, who are sitting on the extra folding chairs to the right of the dugout? I am specifically referring to starting Chris Dickerson who would bring some much-needed oomph to what looks like a bunch of deadbeats. Ohhhh what’s the point anymore?
