Free agent outfielder Nick Swisher is touring the country like a rock star.  In almost every city he stops, he is being wooed and showered with promises.  Maybe it's more like a college recruiting trip than a rock show, but Swisher is definitely the rock star.  He is now visiting the Cleveland Indians as the team tries to land him. According to Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Swisher will visit the Indians as part of his recruiting tour.  As the big free agents sign with other teams, Swisher's value continues to increase exponentially.  Now, he is a top target on the Indians' radar. The Indians have two starting outfielders in Michael Brantley and Drew Stubbs, acquired last week from the Reds. They need a third and Swisher could be the man, but he will not come cheaply. The Tribe made a four-year, $44 million bid to Shane Victorino at the winter meetings, but it's going to take more to get Swisher. Swisher spent the last four seasons in New York.  With the Yankees, he hit .268/.367/.483 and made one All-Star team.  In 2012, he hit .272/.364/.473 with 24 home runs.  Swisher would be a nice addition to the Indians' outfield if he can stay healthy. Swisher has been surprisingly durable in his career.  He played in 148 games last season, which was the fewest he's played since 2005.  Swisher dealt with a hip flexor injury in 2012 which caused him to miss some time. Swisher won't come cheap as Hoynes pointed out.  He made $10.25 million in 2012 and will likely make the same or more going forward.
