The major league baseball amateur baseball draft has come and gone and there was an emphasis on family bloodlines. Time will tell if the selections were made because of the talent potential due to their family genes or if the team simply felt a loyalty to the former player. Regardless, here are the bloodlines that were drafted this past weekend.
Luke Farrell- Son of John Farrell was selected in the 6th round, 174th overall by the Kansas City Royals.
Josh Pettitte- Son of Andy Pettitte was selected in the 37th round, 1124 overall by the New York Yankees, the same team his father is currently employed by.
Cavan Biggio- Son of Craig Biggio was selected in 29th round, 871overall by the Philadelphia Phillies.
Kacy Clemens- Son of Roger Clemens was selected in the 35th round, 1037 overall by the Houston Astros.
Mike Yastrzemski- Grandson of Carl Yastrzemski was selected in the 14th round, 429 overall by the Baltimore Orioles.
Dillon Moyer- Son of Jamie Moyer was selected in the 38th round...
