ARLINGTON, Texas Some pitchers on the mend are making progress for the Texas Rangers but that's not the case for all of them. Texas right-hander Alexi Ogando, who is on the disabled list with right shoulder inflammation, is still being slowed and has not been able to throw a bullpen yet. "I still have a little inflammation in my shoulder," Ogando said. "It's not pain, but it still bugs me a little. It hasn't gone away." Ogando is eligible to come off the DL Friday and the Rangers were hoping he'd be ready to pitch in time for next weekend's series against Cincinnati. While Ogando isn't sure when he's coming back, he said that when he does he'd prefer to be a starter. Reliever Joakim Soria continues to make strides towards his Texas debut. Soria had had thrown two batting practice sessions during this home stand and will head to Double-A Frisco Thursday to begin a rehab assignment. Soria will need to make several appearances and also pitch in consecutive games before he's ready to help the big club. Right-hander Colby Lewis will have another bullpen session Thursday in Arlington. It will be his second. He threw 35 pitches Monday and would like to face hitters before going out on a rehab assignment.
