TEAMS: Boston Red Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates, Arizona Diamondbacks, New York Yankees

Right-hander Ross Ohlendorf made just nine starts with Pittsburgh in 2011.
PITTSBURGH — Right-hander Ross Ohlendorf signed with the Boston Red Sox today, according to Scott Bradley (via Peter Gammons). The deal is reported to be a minor league contract.
Ohlendorf was released by the Pirates in December after an injury plagued 2011 season. The move was to open up a roster spot for Rule 5 pick infielder Gustavo Nunez. Ohlendorf made just nine starts due to shoulder injuries, and went 1-3 with a 8.15 ERA over 38.2 innings with Pittsburgh.
Ohlendorf was acquired from the New York Yankees in 2008 along with pitchers Jeff Karstens, Daniel McCutchen and Outfielder Jose Tabata for outfielder Xavier Nady and pitcher Damaso Marte.
Over four seasons with the Pirates, Ohlendorf went 13-27 with a 4.60 ERA over 64 starts.
