David Price was supposed to be here. Selected first in the draft in 2007, he has become the ace everyone thought he could be. He started the All-Star Game in 2010 and finished second in the Cy Young voting. He may find himself atop the hill at the midsummer classic as this year’s American League starter. Currently, he stands alone with the most wins to this point. The twenty-six year old Price boasts an 8-3 mark and a nifty 2.40 ERA for the Rays. He’s struck out 70 while walking 27 and giving up 69 hits in 78.2 innings. Good. Not R.A. Dickey good.
Dickey, on the other hand, was not such a sure bet for league leader in 2012. Dickey will oppose Price on Wednesday at Tropicana Field, marking only the second time since interleague play began that the league leaders in wins had their teams...
