ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Baltimore Orioles' dream season will continue in the American League Division series after they outlasted the Texas Rangers 5-1 in the wild card game Friday night at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. The Orioles advance to face the New York Yankees in a best-of-five series beginning Sunday in Baltimore. The first two games are at Oriole Park before the series shifts to Yankee Stadium for the final three. As for the two-time defending American League champion Rangers, the wild card loss puts a final exclamation point on a nightmarish collapse down the stretch for a team with World Series aspirations. Texas, which held a four-game lead over Oakland with six games to play, was swept by the A's in a season-ending series to lose the AL West. Baltimore battled the Yankees in the AL East down the last day of the season before settling for the wild card. The Orioles reached the postseason for the first time since 1997. Texas Rangers: Could Wild Card Loss To Orioles Be The Last Time We See Josh Hamilton In A Rangers Uniform?

The Texas Rangers could look a bit different in the 2013 MLB season, having suffered a bit of a collapse to end the 2012 season. Rangers September collapse understated

The Texas Rangers finished the 2012 season on a downward spiral that few have talked about. The only time the Rangers were not in first place was in April. They were in second place when their record was 1-1 and it again...

I want Texas. I want to taste them. I want to grind their bones on my teeth. I want vengeance.

In the Yankiverse, every post-season is supposed to end like the last two minutes of the original Godfather movie. This isn't just a quest for No. 28. It's a march for revenge. So let this stand as my personal vendetta fantasy.1. Bring on Texas! I want to see Nolan Ryan drinking wine at the game with his goobah, George W. Bush.  Suddenly, Josh Hamilton and that Elvis guy...
