The Baltimore Orioles traded Matt Lindstrom to the Arizona Diamondbacks in the middle of the 2012 season for Joe Saunders.  Now, the team wants both.  They have reportedly been working on re-signing Saunders, but they also have interest in Lindstrom.  According to Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun, the Orioles are one of many teams showing interest in Lindstrom.  #Orioles among several teams interested in RHP Matt Lindstrom, key part of club's pen b4 traded to Dbacks 4 Saunders, whom Os want back too — Dan Connolly (@danconnollysun) January 1, 2013 The 32-year old Lindstrom has been something of a nomad in the Majors.  He has pitched for five different teams in six seasons of Major League Baseball.  In his career, Lindstrom has proven himself as a productive reliever.  He is 13-15 with a 3.64 ERA in his career.  He also has 45 saves and could be used as a closer if he lands somewhere other than Baltimore. The Orioles, who have Jim Johnson as their closer, would likely use Lindstrom as a set-up man if they were to bring him back.  Lindstrom avoided what looked to be a possible injury during the 2012 season when he was hit in his knee by a line drive.  X-Rays after the line drive hit him came back negative, and Lindstrom did not have to miss any time.
