MVN:
The Baltimore Orioles are trying to figure out what to do with Felix Pie because they can't send him down, as he's out of options:
"Felix got off to a bad start. I was prepared to live with some of the offensive struggles, we anticipated that," O's president of baseball operations, Andy MacPhail said. "The defense was erratic - miss a routine play, followed by a spectacular play. That was where he lost some of his playing time. Then Nolan came up and played so well, that's a competition thing."
"We as an organization still feel like Felix is going to be a productive Major League player. He was well scouted before we traded for him. Our scouts have been pretty on the money so far with what we have gotten back.
"I personally see it, it's in there, it's all in there," MacPhail added. "Right now the at bats look scarce for him. But things happen. He's a talented kid that is going to have to wait his turn now until another turn comes about for whatever reason."
Pie is sporting a .205/.278/.330 batting line, with 23 strikeouts in 88 at-bats.
