Orioles right-hander Jeremy Accardo has cleared waivers and been outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk, the club announced Tuesday. He 3-3 with a 5.73 ERA in 31 relief appearances over two 2011 stints in the Majors.

Baltimore Orioles infielder Chris Davis will not undergo sports hernia surgery as was expected.
Davis told MLB.com that he saw a specialist last week and was told surgery was not necessary.
Davis said the treatment for the injury calls for rest and rehabilitation.
He split last season between the Orioles and Texas Rangers, batting .266 with five home runs and 19 RBIs
