The 13 Gold Glove Awards won by Hall of Fame shortstop Ozzie Smith were among several historical sports items sold at an auction over the weekend. And it appears as though the 15-time All-Star racked up.Smith's Gold Glove Awards from 1980-92 were sold for approximately $519,203, SCP Auctions said on Sunday. His 2006 and 2011 World Series rings sold for $42,448 and $51,364, respectively. Both items were given to Smith as gifts from the team.Also included in the auction sale were two pairs of Muhammad Ali boxing gloves ($385,848), a sweater worn by Babe Ruth from 1922 ($250,642), Oscar Robertson's NBA MVP Award from 1964 ($177,632), Paul Hornung's Heisman Trophy from 1956 ($173,102), and a Lou Gehrig game-used bat ($75,205), among other things.The prices include a 20-percent sales commission.The auction company said the winning bidders wished to remain anonymous.Via ESPN.
