These are our opinions as to who is most likely to represent the division in top-tier...

Wobbly wheels slowing Pujols

Albert Pujols wobbled as he ran Wednesday. It was seen as a sign of progress. Such is life in the Angels' unstable universe. Pujols, 33, underwent right knee surgery during the offseason. He wasn't cleared to run the bases in a competitive setting until this, the Angels' 17th game of the Cactus League season. And when he reached base -- twice, on a fielder's choice...

Hi. I’m Jeremy Elwood. Let me introduce myself; I’m a new writer to this site, I’m a huge Angels Fan, and I’m a professional comedian and TV writer. Oh, and I live in New Zealand. Figure that out in your own time.   So, as my introduction to Monkey With A Halo, I thought I’d use my slightly removed position to do a short series on the guys who aren’t dominating...

Trout’s name lives on at his old high school field

Now that didn’t take very long.   A mere four years he graduated, Millville High School in New Jersey is naming its baseball field after its most famous alum, Mike Trout.   That’s gotta be some kind of record.   Trout had arguably the greatest rookie season in the history of baseball in 2012. He became the first player to hit over .325, hit 30 home runs and steal over...

Fantasy baseball breakout prospects

Is there a Mike Trout or Bryce Harper among the prospects that will debut in 2013? This is the first of a two-part series that will examine a few prospects that could greatly...

2013 SWOT analysis: Los Angeles Angels

Despite having some of the brightest stars in the game, both young and old, a $160 million payroll and sky high expecations, the Los Angeles Angels are far from a perfect team. Many have picked the Halos as their World Series favorite, much like they did last season when they failed to even qualify for the playoffs for the third consecutive season. Led by wunderkind Mike Trout, the...

Can Jurickson Profar Live Up To The Hype?
