The San Diego Padres have acquired pitcher Tyson Ross and minor league first baseman A.J. Kirby-Jones from the Oakland Athletics for infielder Andy Parrino and left hander Andrew Werner, the teams announced.
Ross was 2-11 with a 6.50 ERA and a 5.6 k/9 in 13 starts and 5 relief appearances with the A's last season.
Parrino who is a switch-hitter, batted .207 with 1 home run and six RBIs in 55 games with San Diego.
Werner went 2-3 with a 5.58 ERA in eight starts for the Padres.
