The San Diego Padres have been quiet this winter, but they could make some big noise if they pull off a deal for one of the hottest remaining free agent pitchers. The Padres are talking with Edwin Jackson about a multi-year deal, but the question is whether San Diego can keep up with other teams who may be interested.
Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reported Sunday via Twitter that the Padres have been talking to Jackson about a possible deal.
