Janish is on fire to start 2012.
Look who's making noise for the Louisville Bats. After being one of the last players to be left off the Reds' 25-man roster, Paul Janish is doing his best to get back to Cincinnati. After the first four games, Janish has been named the Hitter of the Week by the International League, according to press release from minor league baseball.
It took Janish all of one game to hit more home runs than he did in all of 2011. He did so by hitting two on Opening Day. So far he leads the Bats with a .429 average, six hits, two homers, 14 total bases, while slugging 1.000. Early in the season, it appears that Janish is making it known that he is ready to be back with the big league club when the time comes.
