New York Yankees pitc… uh, injury riddled Carl Pavano is set to appear in a big league stadium tomorrow night.
Though instead of trying to get big league hitters out he'll be serving up batting practice fast balls but when you consider that the Yankees have gotten just 19 starts over the four year $39.95 million dollar contract he signed with the team prior to 2005 anything is something.
That the Yankees will have Pavano throw batting practice in Boston speaks volumes. In Boston the fans won't know whether to cheer Pavano for giving up homers or to boo him.
Pavano will stop collecting money from the Yankees at the end of the season and the 32-year-old right hander hopes to add a few starts onto his resume as he looks for a job with another club next season.
