Binghamton Mets pitchers Greg Peavey, Ryan Fraser and Jeff Walters limited the Harrisburg Senators to four hits in a 3-0 victory in the series opener on Friday night at Metro Bank Park. Peavey took a no-hitter into sixth and allowed just one runner to reach third base en route to his first win since returning to the B-Mets.
Danny Muno got the B-Mets offense rolling in the first inning, singling to center off Harrisburg starter Taylor Hill. Following a hit batter, Allan Dykstra ripped a grounder to right bringing Muno home from second with the game’s first run. It was Dykstra’s 70th RBI of the season.
B-Mets starter Peavey faced one over the minimum through three innings before running into a jam in the fourth. The righty plunked Jerad Head and walked Jason Martinson, putting the potential tying run in scoring position.
