Wily Peralta was going to fight through it. He was going to do all he could to help the Brewers win a crucial game. But in the end, his teammates were going to have none of it.Milwaukee's prized rookie starting pitcher alerted third baseman Aramis Ramirez that he was feeling discomfort in his right bicep prior to coming out to pitch the sixth inning. Ramirez then told Brewers manager Ron Roenicke. "He said he was going to go back out and throw his warm-up pitches," Roenicke said. "He said he was OK. (Brewers Athletic trainer) Dan (Wright) had already looked at him."Facing Reds pitcher Mat Latos to start the sixth, it was evident that something wasn't right to Ramirez and Roenicke, even though Peralta struck out his counterpart. "I think velocity (was down), but more the wildness," Roenicke said. "He threw a couple balls that really weren't close." Following the strikeout, Ramirez went to the mound and took the baseball from Peralta while Wright and Roenicke came out to the mound. Peralta even gestured like he wanted the ball back to keep pitching, but Ramirez wouldn't let him have it. Prior to having to leave the game, Peralta was in control of a dangerous Reds lineup in what turned out to be a 2-1 loss. The right-hander had allowed just two hits and no runs, while striking out six in 5 13 innings. After Peralta bounced back from the only rough start he's had since coming to the big leagues, Roenicke hated to have to yank the rookie but was ultimately safe with the organization's top pitching prospect."He threw the ball great," Roenicke said. "It's a shame for him because he was throwing the ball great. "We'll see how he is tomorrow and what it looks like." Peralta is scheduled to make one more start this season, Tuesday against San Diego. If he can't go, he'll finish his stint in Milwaukee with a 2.48 ERA in 29 innings.
