  If anyone knows a thing or seven about being on MLB’s bad side, surely it’s Pete Rose. Listen up young and aging players alike, Uncle Pete has some advice for you when it comes to steroids. Per an interview with USA Today, Rose said the following: “Come clean as quickly as you possibly can…I guess Braun thought he was going to get away with it when he got off the hook the first time. I wish I could go around to all the spring training camps and talk to the young players about what happened to me.” Simple, straight and effective. Rose then went on to give this stern warning to those caught up “If baseball wants to get you, they’ve got enough resources and enough investigators that they’ll find a way to get you.” If the saga that is Biogenesis-gate has taught us anything, it’s that MLB investigators can be pretty errr…reckless, see the case of whistle blower Porter Fischer who had his car allegedly broken in to seize evidence. Wild stuff. Whether or not Rose said what he said to genuinely help players in this situation or to cast a light on how seemingly minor his offense was compared to this is debatable. But the fact remains, MLB has a tendency to sit on their hands and look helpless, but when they want to throw the book, they’ve shown no mercy–see Rose. Heed the warning, don’t tarnish your legacy off nonsense.
