Pettitte Testimony Damns Rocket | Andy Won't Appear At Hearing

Today comes the news that Pettitte, Chuck Knoblauch, and Kirk Radomski have been dropped from the witness list entirely, transforming tomorrow's hearings into a mano-a-mano face off between Roger Clemens and Brian McNamee. According to Rep. Tom Davis (R-Va.), a member of the committee, Pettitte was reluctant to testify against his long-time friend in such a public forum, and the committee was sensitive to those feelings. Instead the committee will confront Clemens with Andy's statement, which Davis confirms backs McNamee's account of events rather than that of Clemens, and will ask The Rocket to respond to it.
