Kyle Kendrick of the Philadelphia Phillies is an emergency option.  How do the fill-ins for the Yankees match-up with the locals?  The Apocalyptic Horsemen Stats are in my recent coverage linked below.

I am alternating a game-day 2012 ERA For The NL East and a 2012 ERA For The MLB 5. See link section below. In each publication, the number after the title will be based on the quantity of outcomes played by the Phillies.

Top Performance Last Night: Kyle Kendrick Dials Up A Fastball During 7 SO, 4-Hit Innings At The Bank Against The Braves

REASONING For The Stats:

These numbers are a glimpse over the pitching coach’s shoulder, because they warn of difficulty ahead. The rule of thumb is that the bullpen load should be no more than 33.3%, which is a 6-complete average per scheduled outing. That is why going a distance into the game is 6.1 frames or more, which is 70.4%. The added detail of 1 out per contest is 54 innings over the long summer’s course. This also shows the mound masters that give the relievers a well deserved night off, but there is a rust factor due to lack of backend chances. If there are any questions, please ask.

Howard will be eased back into Phillies' lineup

After his first night back in the major leagues after suffering a ruptured left Achilles tendon in last year's National League playoffs, Ryan Howard looked out at the bevy of reporters that surrounded him. He was eventually asked about how much of the load he could shoulder for a Philadelphia Phillies team on the brink of collapse. "Nothing more than this bookbag on...

Howard Activated From DL

(AP) The Big Piece is back. Following last night’s suggestion from Ruben Amaro that he could be in the lineup tonight, the Phillies made good on their word when they activated Ryan Howard from the disabled list today. Hector Luna has been sent to Lehigh Valley to make room on the 25-man roster. Howard, who was recovering from the torn Achilles he suffered during game...

Phillies activate Ryan Howard from DL

The time for excuses is coming to a close. Chase Utley came off of the DL last week, and today, the Phillies have activated first baseman Ryan Howard. Howard torn his Achilles tendon last October in game five of the NLDS against the Cardinals, and played six rehab games, tallying eight hits, two doubles, one homer, three walks, and three strikeouts.  The Phillies...

Two Men Can't Fix Bad.... But One Better...

From the Phillies Facebook, yesterday Chase Utley returns, and in his very first at-bat, homers. Ryan Howard returns, and in his very first at-bat, doubles. In that time, the Phillies have gone 1-8. They lost the first five games with Chase Utley. They're 0-1 with Howard. And neither has been too bad. The truth is, this team is way more than one or two pieces away...

Losses Keep Piling Up

Another night, another loss. It’s a familiar story in Philadelphia these days. This time, the Phillies lost 6-3 in front of a lifeless home crowd that had mostly retreated by the time the final out was recorded. Looking back at the Phillies’ history since moving to Citizens Bank Park, this final series before the All Star Break has to be absolute rock bottom. They’ve now...

Ryan Howard Likely to Return to Phillies Tonight

Injured star 1st baseman, Ryan Howard will make his return to the Phillies tonight against the Braves. After a crushing walk-off loss to the New York Mets last night, it appears the Phillies are desperate. Even though he has only spent a week rehabbing in minor league baseball games, Ryan Howard is reportedly going to be activated tonight as the Phillies open a 3 game series against...

In his starts, Joe...

Papelbon Rocked, Phils Lose Series Finale

Final: Phillies 5, Mets 6. WP: Bobby Parnell (2-1, 2.91 ERA) LP: Jonathan Papelbon (2-3, 3.45 ERA) In order for the Philadelphia Phillies to climb out of the hole in the standings that they have dug themselves into, they must start to win as many series as possible in the final remaining months of the season. Tonight, unfortunately, they were not able to do just that.   Cole Hamels...

Phillies Drop Another Game to the Braves, 6-3

Amidst a stretch of games played against the National League East, the Phillies' woes grew worse tonight in the second game of this three-game series against Tommy Hanson and the Braves.  Brian McCann, coming off a big night, went deep again in the top of the second to put up the first run of the game.  The Phillies rallied in the bottom of the second to put up a three...

McCann's slam powers Braves over Phillies

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Brian McCann hit a grand slam, Tim Hudson tossed four-hit ball over seven innings and the Atlanta Braves beat the Philadelphia Phillies 5-0 to spoil Ryan Howard's season debut Friday night. Howard doubled in his first at-bat and was 2 for 4 in his first game since rupturing his left Achilles tendon on the final swing in a postseason elimination loss to St...

Reds among others showing interest in Juan Pierre

The Phillies are closing in on an “everything must go” sale as they again lost on Friday and are now 13 games back of the first place Washington Nationals. Though the team is not ready just yet to waive the white flag, teams are beginning to call about available players. Buster Olney notes that the Reds among other teams have called about Juan Pierre. With the various injuries...
