MIAMI -- Kyle Kendrick threw seven scoreless innings for the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday in a 1-0 win over the Miami Marlins.

Kendrick (5-9) struck out six and allowed five hits to improve to 9-2 against the Marlins in his career.

Jonathan Papelbon picked up his 26th save in 29 chances by pitching a scoreless ninth after Josh Lindblom pitched the eighth.

Jimmy Rollins led off the game with a home run to right field to provide the only scoring. The Phillies also blanked the Marlins 4-0 on Monday, with Cole Hamels throwing a complete game.

The Marlins have been held scoreless for their last 27 innings.

Marlins starter Josh Johnson (7-9) tossed eight innings, allowing one run and three hits while striking out seven.

Miami had a chance to score in the sixth, but Carlos Lee popped out to end the inning, leaving Bryan Petersen stranded at third base.

Rollins' homer was his 14th of the season.

The Phillies would not record another hit until the fourth, when Domonic Brown reached base with a two-out single and advanced to second on a pickoff error by Johnson. However, John Mayberry Jr. popped out to second to end the inning.

Miami's Jose Reyes led off the bottom of the fourth with a single, but he was caught stealing by Philadelphia catcher Brian Schneider. Carlos Lee followed with a base hit, but Kendrick was able to retire the next two batters.

NOTES: Rollins' homer in the first was his fourth leadoff home run of the season and 41st of his career. He also passed Larry Bowa for most games played at shortstop for the Phillies (1,731). ... Marlins catcher Rob Brantly made his major league debut and went 0-for-3. He is expected to share time with veteran John Buck. "We're going to take a look at the kid," manager Ozzie Guillen said. "It's our job to make the lineup and make sure the kid gets plenty of game time and, other hand, I'm not going to leave John on the bench." ... Johnson came into the game with a 2-2 record and 2.27 ERA in his last five starts against the Phillies. ... Phillies pitchers came into the game with a 0.51 ERA in their last four road games. ... By winning the first two games of the three-game series, Philadelphia opened a 2 1/2-game edge on Miami in the battle to avoid last place in the NL East.
