Philadelphia Phillies prospect Justin Crawford was named the Florida State League Player of the Week on Monday.

He had a huge week for the Threshers, which saw him pull his season average up from .317 to .341 during the week-long series with Dunedin.

He started the week on Wednesday as he went 3-for-5 with two doubles and drove in a run.

In the Thursday contest he drove in three runs as he went 4-for-4 with a double and a triple.

In Friday’s game he went 1-for-4 and scored a run. Then, in the finale on Sunday he went 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored.

Entering this week’s action he’s slashing .341/.403/.442/.845 with eight doubles, three triples and 24 RBI. He’s also scored 28 runs. He’s batting 100 points better than a season ago, when he played just 16 games in the Florida Complex League and with Clearwater.
