In their pursuit of a center fielder, the Philadelphia
Phillies have talked to the Colorado Rockies about a trade involving Dexter
Fowler, reports Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.
Source: #Phillies have talked to #Rockies about Fowler. Rockies would want pitching back, for now and future.

The Phillies are in need of a center fielder, and they’ve
made the position their top priority this offseason. Two of their free agent
targets, B.J. Upton and Angel Pagan, are already off the board. Philadelphia
reportedly isn’t as much of a fit for fellow free agents Michael Bourn and
former Phillies outfielder Shane Victorino.
If not Bourn or Victorino, the Phillies may be forced to
move on to the trade market to find their center fielder. If they target Fowler
he won’t come cheap, as the Rockies seek pitching, both pieces they can plug
into their major league roster now and prospects for later, in return,

Rockies Can’t Afford to Trade Troy Tulowitzki
There’s no denying that when healthy, Troy Tulowitzki is one of the most complete players in baseball, let alone at a slim shortstop position. Since breaking into the majors in 2006, he’s finished in the top-10 in MVP voting three times, has won two gold gloves and two silver slugger awards. That’s a pretty rounded out trophy case he owns.
But 2012 veered off that course...
Could Fowler-for-Bailey heat up at meetings?
In the vein of old-fashioned baseball trades … How about Dexter Fowler for Homer Bailey?
We know this much, from major-league sources: The Colorado Rockies like Bailey, the right-hander who looked like a legitimate No. 2 starter for long stretches of this year. The Cincinnati Reds like Fowler, the antidote to their worst-in-the-majors .581 OPS from the leadoff spot. Now the question...
Rockies Continue to Confuse, Acquire Wilton Lopez
In a vacuum, you could probably make a decent enough case in favor of exchanging Alex White for Wilton Lopez. As Jeff wrote last week, Lopez is the game’s most extreme high GB/low BB reliever, and this skillset allows him to be an effective late inning reliever. Lopez is a quality arm, and he can be a key piece of a good bullpen. Meanwhile, White has been pretty lousy during...
Astros trade Lopez to Rockies for White, minor-leaguer
Right-hander Wilton Lopez, who finished last season as the Houston Astros' closer, was acquired by the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday night. Houston received right-handed starter Alex White and minor league right-hander Alex Gillingham in the deal. Colorado also will get cash or a player to be named. Lopez likely will serve as a setup man in front of Rockies closer Rafael Betancourt...

Rauuuuuuuul 2.0? Phillies Reportedly Interested in a Raul Ibañez Reunion
Consider me surprised to hear this news: Ken Rosenthal of FoxSports.com reports that the Phillies have "expressed interest" in former Phillies outfielder and 2012 postseason hero Raul Ibañez: Could #Yankees lose on Ibanez too?
