The trade deadline has passed with Ruben Amaro Jr. making NO moves. What message does this send to the fan? Wait until next year or beyond. It pains me to say that the Phillies are not good. Deficient in the bullpen, bench and the starting lineup, one or even two moves would not have made the Phillies a contender. So I guess I agree with Amaro not making any moves; with the exception of not moving Michael Young who might have got us one prospect before he splits. The Phillies who are committed to big contracts with Howard, Rollins, Lee will be making our future worse if Amaro has his way. Resigning Chase Utley is not the right move for a winning future. As my colleague Wayne suggested http://phillysportsworld.com/phillies-need-change-or-amaro-must-go , Amaro should be fired! Not for his lack of moves at the deadline but for the team he assembled for 2013. I for one am not looking forward to see what Amaro has planned after 2013.Similar Posts: Phillies need change or Amaro must go Fading Phillies looking like sellers For Phillies, Golden Era is now a memory New look Flyers will be a crapshoot Dom Brown, the real deal?
