(Photo: AP)The Phillies announced today the signing of infielders Hector Luna and Luis Montanez.Luna, 31, last saw Major League action in 2010 with the Marlins. Luna is a career .265/.317/.388 hitter playing primarily well-below average 2B, SS, and 3B. Luna spent last year in Triple-A Pawtucket where he hit .283/.350/.449 for the Red Sox affialiate.Montanez, 30, may be a more useful piece to the Phils puzzle, hitting .222/.263/.352 in 57 plate appearances last year for the Cubs. Montanez is a slightly below average outfielder who has a career -5.2 UZR across all three outfield positions.  Montanez had an excellent year in the hitter friendly Pacific Coast League in 2011 for Triple-A Iowa hitting .318/.393/.489.Also, in a move corresponding to the J-Rol signing, the Phillies exposed INF Carlos Rivero to waivers and lost him to the Nationals.
