Found April 18, 2013 on Bush League Chronicle:
The San Diego Padres cruised past the Los Angeles Dodgers Wednesday night, 7-2, to complete a sweep over their arch rival. And a pop music icon was there at Dodger Stadium to take it all in.Seen here is Dodgers right fielder Andre Ethier posing for pictures in the dugout before the game with none other than Britney Spears. It's not clear who asked whom for the picture, but judging by Ethier's facial expression we can probably assume it was him.The "Oops!...I Did It Again" and "Baby One More Time" singer and her two baseball-loving sons apparently enjoyed their visit...Go @dodgers!!!!! twitter.com/britneyspears/…— Britney Spears (@britneyspears) April 18, 2013Now, if only the Dodgers could have delivered them a win.Via MLB Cut4

Injury Roll Call: Hanley declares himself a miracle, Capuano MRI, Lilly ready, Crawford’s arm

Hanley Ramirez has resumed baseball activities, including hitting off of a tee and light toss. He plans to return earlier than the timetable originally given but the Dodgers aren’t getting ahead of themselves. Ramirez told reporters Tuesday he would be back ‘way sooner’ than May 17, and that “everybody is going to be shocked” at how quickly he returns. Manager Don Mattingly...

Andre Ethier: One Of The Most Overrated and Overpaid Players In All of Baseball.

Roy-Z over at Plain Gray Swatch wrote a post a while back in which he asked why so many Dodgers' fans seemed to be down on the "ever-consistent" Andre Ethier, viewing him more as a liability than as a star. I happen to be one of those people that has never been a big Ethier fan and advocated trading him long ago, so I thought I'd lay out the reasoning behind my...

Kershaw rocked, Dodgers lose 4th straight

LOS ANGELES Sometimes life throws curveballs. For Clayton Kershaw, thats been his claim to fame since making his debut with the Dodgers in 2008. His curveball has been lethal, and some would even call it the best in the game. Kershaw had been traditionally good against the Padres. Hed won his last four decisions against the Friars and was 8-3 in his career against the them. However...

MLB reportedly upset with Carl Crawford for blue and white Jackie Robinson cleats

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Carl Crawford put his own personal spin on Jackie Robinson Day during a game against the San Diego Padres on Monday. As you can see from the photo above, he wore mismatched Jackie Robinson commemorative cleats. Crawford wanted to show off both the blue and white Jordan PEs that he, Jimmy Rollins and CC Sabathia received with the No. 42 on the back to...

MLB made at Carl Crawford for wearing cleats in honor of Jackie Robinson

On Monday, Major League Baseball celebrated Jackie Robinson Day. Part of this celebration included all players donning Robinson's No. 42 on the back of their uniforms. Some players took the tribute of Robinson a step further, though. One of those players was Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Carl Crawford, who sported a pair of blue and white commemorative cleats (pictured above...

Greinke "regrets" not telling A.J. Ellis about history with Carlos Quentin

If it seemed like A.J. Ellis was slow to get out and try to divert a charging Carlos Quentin, it's because he was.  Ellis, not necessarily familiar with the bad blood between Zack Greinke and Quentin, had no reason to believe a seemingly innocuous hit-by-pitch to the arm would result in an all-out brawl.  Not on a 3-2 count in a  one-run game, at least.  But it did, and...

Dodgers aim to bounce back against Padres

After a disappointing loss last night on Jackie Robinson night, the Dodgers will look to get things back on track in game two of the three game series with the San Diego Padres. This will be the Dodgers’ first look at what life will be like for the next couple months without Zack Greinke in their rotation. That starting pitching depth is looking pretty good now, right? After...

Dodgers Swept by Padres

The Dodgers get swept by the Padres, extend their losing streak to 4 games and fall under .500 for the first time since April 3.

Padres President, CEO Makes Fun of Zack Greinke’s Battle With Social Anxiety Disorder, Calls Him ‘Rain Man’

Last week’s Dodgers-Padres brawl had serious repercussions for both teams on the injury and suspension fronts, but it’s also the impetus for some potential public relations problems in San Diego. Mitt Romney may have lost the 2012 presidential election for what he said when he thought he was in private company, and it seems Padres president and CEO Tom Garfinkel has made a similar...

Padres pummel Capuano, Dodgers 9-2

It's been a while since Jason Marquis won on a consistent basis. Now that he's gotten his first victory of the season for the San Diego Padres, he's hoping to build on it in a big way. Marquis pitched three-hit ball over 7 2-3 innings for his first win of the season and Alexi Amarista tied a career high with four RBIs, leading the Padres to a 9-2 victory over the Los...

Padres 7, Dodgers 2

Clayton Kershaw gave up his first three home runs of the season in a span of three innings and the San Diego Padres beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-2 on Wednesday night to finish a three-game sweep. Everth Cabrera, Chris Denorfia and Kyle Blanks all connected off Kershaw (2-2), who entered with a 1.16 ERA in three starts. But the 2011 NL Cy Young Award winner left this one trailing...

Series Preview (April 19-21) Dodgers vs. Orioles

The Orioles host the Dodgers at Oriole Park at Camden Yards for 3 games this weekend in the Dodgers first interleague series of the season.   The Dodgers come into Baltimore with nothing seeming to go right lately. The pitching staff is getting beaten up both on the mound and on the disabled list, with Chris Capuano joining Zack Greinke on the 15 Day DL.  Ted Lilly will come up...

Game 14 Recap: Back to .500. Padres 9, Dodgers 2

I apologize for the lateness of my recaps the last couple games.  I have been fighting a pretty bad chest cold and find myself drained of energy at the end of the day, so for the second consecutive morning, I bring you a hearty coughing fit and a morning after game summary. Frankly, the Dodgers look like they’ve come down with my cold.  See, their offense got sick again around...
