I have been hearing about the Felix Pie ejection tirade that occurred earlier last month in the Dominican Winter League. I had no proof until now.
This video is what you have been waiting for. As seen on the video, Pie takes a lead off of first, when the catcher attempts to pick him off. Pie slides back into the bag simultaneously when the first basemen tags him. The umpire calls him out and Pie is enraged leading to his ejection.
The video quality is not the best so I can’t tell if Felix has a right to be upset. Though you have to think, would you really get that upset if he was truly out?
Felix Pie is currently playing for the Estrellas Orientals in the Dominican Winter Baseball League. The game where Pie was ejected took place December 10th.
