Michael Pineda (shoulder) will throw two innings in an extended spring training game Saturday.
If that goes well, he could be cleared to start a minor league rehab assignment. Pineda has been throwing without incident to this point, though we haven’t heard any reports on how his velocity has been. He should be ready to rejoin the Yankees rotation sometime in May, barring any setbacks.

The New York Post celebrated the 100th anniversary of Fenway Park with a killer of a headline today. 100 Years of Ass Kicking, commemorates the Yankees dominance over the Red Sox's in the past century.
Through the 2011 season, the Yankees have an all-time record of 1,129-953-14 against the Red Sox, and here is how their World Series history matches up:
New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez moved into fifth-place on the all time home runs list on Friday with a Deep blast during the Yankees-Red Sox game at Fenway Park.
Rodriguez passed former teammate and mentor Ken Griffey Jr. with a solo home run in the fifth inning off Red Sox pitcher Clay Bucholz. This is his second home run of the season and number 631 for his career...
Have a day Curtis Granderson!
The Yankees outfielder turned in the first truly spectacular individual fantasy day of the 2012 season by going 5-5 with three home runs on Thursday night. He drove in four runs.

If you did not know--I was out all day yesterday and did not know either--the Yankees and Red Sox will be wearing 1912 throwback uniforms on Friday to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Fenway Park.
The Red Sox have worn these throwbacks before (below), but this will be a first for the Yankees. It'll be odd seeing the Yanks in something other than the usual road greys...
