The Pittsburgh Pirates made several moves on Wednesday that included trades with the Royals and Red Sox. The Pirates acquired first baseman Clint Robinson and right-hander Vin Mazzaro from Kansas City in exchange for pitching prospects Luis Rico and Luis Santos. Pittsburgh also obtained right-hander Zach Stewart from Boston for a player to be named later. Mazzaro, 26, was 4-3 with a 5.73 ERA for the Royals in 2012, and Robinson had just four at-bats without a hit for the Roayls this past season. Stewart was 1-4 with an 8.58 ERA for the Red Sox and White Sox in 2012.The Pirates designated for assignment infielders Matt Hague and Yamaico Navarro.
