Remember when the Pittsburgh Pirates were the feel good story Major League Baseball? Yeah, it was like a friggin' week ago. Well, things started going in the ******* quickly when that dumbass homeplate umpire made that horrible blown call in the 19th inning to give the Braves the win. Since then the Buccos are a ghastly 1-8, losing 7 straight, while going from 1st place to 3rd and now sit 2 games below .500 at 54-56. Things have gotten so bad that manager Clint Hurdle had to turn to a 4th pitcher in the 8th inning last night against the lowly Cubs before an out was recorded. Relievers Daniel McCutchen, Jason Grilli, and Joe Beimel faced 5 batters and allowed 3 runs before Jose Veras came in and finished the inning. Shame of it all, Pirates were actually winning before all this happened. It was fun while it lasted...I'm a Phillies fan through-and-through, but being for Pennsylvania, I root for the Pirates anytime they're not playing the Phils. Hopefully they can sh...
