According to the Pittsburgh-Post Gazette:

Also a finalist for the Rawlings Gold Glove Award, Hayes ranked fourth in DRS regardless of position. Since breaking into the big leagues in 2020, Hayes ranks first among all third basemen in MLB with 65 DRS, per the Fielding Bible. The next closest player is (Ryan) McMahon with 43.

The next thing for Hayes is to focus on his offensive consistency and his ability to stay healthy. He played just 124 games this season, hitting .271 with 15 homers and 61 RBI. He also stole 10 bases. One of the cornerstones of the Pirates' rebuild, he's signed through 2029.
