With last night's win over the Colorado Rockies, the Pittsburgh Pirates end their eight-game losing streak, the longest in the MLB this season—not to mention all eight games were at home. The Pirates also hold the longest losing streak on the road with five consecutive losses. After another long and disgusting season, September and the end couldn't be nearing any sooner. For the second season in a row, the Pirates traded away all their talent for the cheap prospects of tomorrow. Of course it seems the Buccos have been rebuilding for the past 17 years, starting with the unloading of Barry Bonds and Doug Drabek. The 22-year-old rookie centerfielder, Andrew McCutchen, has become the face of the organization. Though a contender for the Rookie of the Year award, McCutchen lacks definite leadership, along with the entire clubhouse. Lack of leadership has appeared to be the plaguing factor towards the latter half of the season, with the departure of veterans Jack Wilson ...
