After racing out of the gate last season, Asdrubal Cabrera came up limp down the stretch. His power was consistent all season (he hit either four or five homers in five of the six months), but his .293 average in the first half towered over his .244 mark after the All-Star Break. Cabrera is probably a .275-.290 hitter, and the 17 steals were no fluke, but I’m not sold on the power. A whopping 15 of Cabrera’s 25 homers last season (60%) were classified as “Just Enough” according to HitTrackerOnline.com. They claim the league average is 27 percent. That screams regression to me.
