Everyone has Powerball fever these days, including fans of baseball’s worst franchise. Kansas City Royals fans and lottery players have losing in common. But that all changed this week as one of the winners of the $587.5 million Powerball jackpot on Wednesday apparently used his favorite baseball team to pick the correct numbers. Mark Hill of Dearborn, Mo., selected numbers of classic Kansas City Royals players on his winning ticket in the second largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history, KTVI in St. Louis reported. Hill changed his life with the numbers of 1980s Royals: 5 (George Brett), 6 (Willie Wilson), 16 (Bo Jackson), 22 (Dennis Leonard), 23 (Mark Gubizca) and 29 (Dan Quisenberry) The two winners could opt to take a lump-sum payment of about $192 million.
