Dom D's Mets Fan Blog:
The New York Mets (11-13) host the Washington Nationals (11-12) at Tradition Field tonight at 7:10 PM EST. Johan Santana (1-1, 4.70) will take the mound for the Mets, looking to build upon his solid outing last week. The game will be broadcast on SNY, as well as MLB.TV for out-of-network subscribers.
Here's the lineup:
Jose Reyes, ss
Luis Castillo, 2b
David Wright, 3b
Carlos Delgado, 1b
Carlos Beltran, cf
Fernando Tatis, rf
Daniel Murphy, lf
Ramon Castro, c
Johan Santana, sp
Just a side note, this is the first time since before the WBC that the Mets have fielded a lineup that consisted of zero non-roster invitees. And in case you haven't noticed, David Wright is also making his spring return tonight, looking to continue his success he had with Team USA.
With opening day just a couple of weeks away, now is the time to pay close attention to the starting pitching. Maine and Perez have been shaky all spring, so as it becomes crunch time it will be interesting to see if they can regain their old form before heading north.
I'll be flipping back and forth between this game and the NCAA Tournament, which could win me a decent amount of money if Syracuse wins tonight.
So in the spirit of the moment, Let's Go New York Teams!
