Oliver has walked 72 batters in 67.2 innings since the start of May. He also has a 5.21 ERA in 46.2 innings in his last ten starts, with a 47:52 K/BB ratio. Russ Canzler is 3-for-8 since joining Indianapolis. Andrew Lambo picked up his first triple tonight since joining the Indians. He’s got a .763 OPS in his last ten games, and a .709 OPS in 59 at-bats in July. His .930 OPS on the season with Indianapolis is still inflated by his monster numbers in June. Matt Hague hit his seventh homer of the year.   Jameson Taillon bounced back after his horrible start last time out. He bounced back tonight by giving up three runs in seven innings, with seven strikeouts. Taillon wasn’t getting hit hard for the runs he allowed. This was also the first time he struck out a batter an inning in a start since June 16th. Alex Dickerson extended his hitting streak to six games, although he snapped a streak of five games with multiple hits. Dickerson has a .500/.524/.825 line in 40 at-bats over his last ten games.   A+: BRADENTON MARAUDERS   Bradenton was postponed due to rain.   A: WEST VIRGINIA POWER   Box Score Result: West Virginia 5, Savannah 3 Starting Pitcher: Clay Holmes, RHP (4.69) – 4.0 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 4 K, 0 HR Top Hitter: Walker Gourley, 1B (.330) – 3-for-4 Other Notable Performers: Dilson Herrera, 2B (.263) – 2-for-4, 2B Josh Bell, DH (.283) – 1-for-3, 2B, BB Game Notes: Clay Holmes had been good lately, and even with tonight’s start he has a 3.50 ERA in 46.1 innings over his last ten starts, with a 30:25 K/BB ratio. In his last four starts he has walked eight batters in 19 innings (3.8 BB/9) which is down from his horrible numbers early in the year. Josh Bell had a double, giving him 28 on the year. Dilson Herrera has been on a cold streak, hitting for a .469 OPS in July, after a .669 OPS in June.   A-: JAMESTOWN JAMMERS   Box Score Result: Jamestown 10, Connecticut 0 Starting Pitcher: Jackson Lodge, LHP (3-1, 3.19) – 6.0 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 K, 0 HR Top Hitter: Jeff Roy, CF (.327) – 3-for-4, 2 RBI, SB Other Notable Performers: Michael Fransoso, DH (.337) – 2-for-3, BB, 2 RBI Edwin Espinal, 1B (.255) – 2-for-5 JaCoby Jones, SS (.304) – 1-for-3, BB Game Notes: Jackson Lodge pitched six shutout innings, and now has a 2.00 ERA in 27 innings over five starts with Jamestown, along with a 10:0 K/BB ratio. JaCoby Jones got another start at shortstop, and is hitting for a .304 average and a .798 OPS in 56 at-bats this year. Jin-De Jhang picked up a hit, extending his hitting streak to five games. Michael Fransoso has a six game hitting streak and an .867 OPS in 92 at-bats this year. Jeff Roy stole his 15th base of the year, and had his second three hit game in the last three games, and his third in his last seven games.   RK: GCL PIRATES    Box Score Result: Yankees 7, Pirates 0 Starting Pitcher: Adrian Grullon, RHP (0-2, 5.93) – 2.0 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 1 K, 0 HR Top Hitter: Reese McGuire, DH (.452) – 2-for-4 Other Notable Performers: Angel Sanchez, LHP (3.66) – 4.0 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 3 K, 0 HR Game Notes: Reese McGuire has a hit in ten of his 11 games, and has reached base safely in all 11 games. He picked up his sixth multi-hit game today. He has a .452/.511/.571 line in 42 at-bats so far. Adrian Grullon got off to a good start in his first three games, but has struggled for six earned runs in 2.1 innings over his last two outings. Angel Sanchez has been used as a piggyback starter this year. The 6′ 7″ left-hander has a 3.66 ERA in 19.2 innings with a 15:3 K/BB ratio.
